COSATU: SLANDEROUS COMMENTARY AGAINST MALEMA AND MOTHALE CAUSES FEUD. Polokwane

COSATU’s national strike march in Johannesburg was rather quiet, although the participating individuals attended in masses, no unusual activities took place. The Union’s Federation’s A-list and leaders of the ANC youth league were invited and accepted. However due to one representative of the African National Congress, known to be close to the former President of the ANC Youth League, Julius Malema who was expelled from the ANC http://www.businessday.co.za/articles/Content.aspx?id=166245

Cosatu Members Singing in Polokwane

Cosatu supporters were un-easy about this friendship of theirs and refused that he spoke to them regarding the march in that region, the supporters said that “they will not be addressed by the ANC of Mathale, and Malema who are thieves” http://mg.co.za/article/2012-03-07-no-love-for-malema-at-cosatus-polokwane-protest . To think how the people from Polokwane has been regarding expelled member of the ANC Julius Malema as a leader whom they had put their trust in, it was very unusual to hear the commentary that was said in the heart of the crowd. Cosatu’s Twitter was overflowing commentary after the slanderous name calling of the ANC leader Mothale. Angry Cosatu members demonstrated in Polokwane on the 7th of March 2012 against Labour broking and e-tolling, caring only about their march with disregard to Malema and Mothale’s reputation or image.

Julius Malema: Expelled ANC Youth League President

Some individuals attended the march not for the initial purpose of it but as a platform to slate duly elected ANC leadership of the province, which is truly a defamation of character case. Further to this the ANC is particularly concerned about reference made to ‘concubines' who are allegedly running the government alongside the Premier and ANC Chairperson. http://www.politicsweb.co.za/politicsweb/view/politicsweb/en/page71619?oid=284970&sn=Marketingweb+detail&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Messages were broadcasted through BlackBerry messages about the chairperson Mothale and expended youth league president Malema stating how the so called ‘lavish’ lifestyle these leaders lived was fraudulently driven. The commentary and views on the labeling these leaders as “thieves” https://twitter.com/#!/RSApolitics
The large amounts of red shirts were standing and singing struggle songs as the intimidated the chairperson, some with threats and some with slander. The Cosatu members showed how the government’s implementation of these issues will affect their families because of the low levels of income they receive on a monthly basis. “The government receives so much money from taxes and yet our leaders (Malema and Mothale) will continue to drive luxurious cars with our money” said Cosatu member, Maria Mudau from Phalaborwa, Polokwane.

  1. Dear Author

I respect the views set apart in the blog, and also appreciate the information provided, however text such as "expelled member of the ANC Julius Malema" threw me off a lilo as to Malema being a former member of the ANCYL, i deem it well if that is mentioned as to ANC, for although a member of the ANC the right to power for him was appointed by the ANCYL.

Thanks for the blog and keep on blogging.

    Kindest Regards
    Mr R. Motsepe

  3. Very controvesial... I. Personally think that Malema should take his fall from grace in a mature manner... It is also evident that this country may have over come the Apartheid struggle but there are still some cracks in the institution that will always show.
